4.2.3 Technical Specifications and Construction Programme
The project team members (the professionals) are often responsible for setting
the technical specifications, construction programme and timeframe required
for each stage of the construction, based on the client brief.
However, for some minor projects, such as replacement of air conditioning
or lighting retrofits, the contractor is the only project team member involved.
Therefore, it is wise to have a formal agreement between the school and the
contractor on cost, timeframe, technical requirements, other conditions, etc. to
protect the interests of both parties. Some useful references are listed below.
