The “Hong Kong 3030” programme is a key initiative of the Hong Kong Green
Building Council (HKGBC). This landmark programme involves striving to reduce
the absolute electricity consumption of buildings by 30% of 2005 level by 2030.
We invited Ir Dr Otto Poon, President of the Hong Kong Federation of Electrical and
Mechanical Contractors and a renowned expert with half a century’s experience
in electrical and mechanical engineering, to provide his analysis of the latest
industry trends and eco-friendly energy developments that could shape Hong
Kong’s future.
