Green Building Award 2016

I offer my warmest congratulations to the Hong Kong Green

Building Council and Professional Green Building Council

on their success in jointly organising the biennial Green

Building Award 2016.

As a world-class city, Hong Kong is committed to upgrading

our infrastructure to meet growing demands and improve the

quality of life of the people, while at the same time ensuring

a sustainable built environment. Over the years, the building

industry has been making great efforts in producing

sustainable, environmentally friendly and aesthetically

charming buildings for the community of Hong Kong. To

this end, the Green Building Award plays a crucial role by

establishing a platform for professionals to showcase their

distinguished work, and share their knowledge on how to

make buildings “greener”.

I am very pleased to note that the Green Building Award

2016 has included a new category of “Green Building

Leadership” to give due recognition to the professional

sectors for their praiseworthy efforts on this front. I trust that

this new category definitely will give the additional impetus

to the industry in striving for excellence.

May I congratulate all award-winners for their outstanding

performance, and wish this event a great success.

我在此衷心祝賀香港綠色建築議會與環保建築專業議會成功

合辦兩年一度的環保建築大獎 2016。

作為世界級城市，香港致力提升我們的基礎建設以滿足需求

及改善市民生活質素，同時確保一個可持續的建築環境。一

直以來，建造業界都竭盡所能為本港社會提供可持續性高、

合符環保及美侖美奐的建築物。因此，環保建築大獎擔當一

個非常重要的角色，就是建立一個平台讓專業人士去展示他

們的優秀作品，及分享令建築物「更綠」的知識。

我很高興得悉環保建築大獎 2016 新增了一個「綠建領導」獎

項，以表揚不同專業界別在這方面的貢獻。我深信此新獎項

會為業界加添動力去追求更卓越的成就。

我謹此向所有創出佳績的得獎者道賀，並祝願頒獎禮圓滿
