With a vision to inculcate the importance of green building among students and encourage them to be aware of the green building development, the HKGBC launches the HKGBC Young Green Building Leadership Programme (for Secondary School Students) 2015 (“the Programme”).

The Programme is aimed at:

1. promoting green building and green school concepts to a wider public;
2. providing opportunities for the younger generation to interact with green building professionals for a better understanding of green building practices and the industry as well as the career of different building professionals and how they contribute to the green building development;
3. incorporating the guidelines and measures of the Hong Kong Green School Guide into school operation and facilitating its implementation in daily life;
4. imparting the green building knowledge to the students and enhancing their understanding of the benefits of sustainable built environment;
5. serving as a platform for students to share and apply the green building concepts and knowledge.

The Programme consists of 3 components as listed below:

1. HKGBC Young Green Building Leadership Summer Camp
2. Green Building Seminars cum Workshops
3. HKGBC Young Green Building Leadership Programme (for Secondary School Students) 2015 - School Subsidy Scheme

The Programme is free of charge and the target participants of the Programme are F.3 and F.4 secondary school students. Each school can nominate up to 4 students to join the Programme. Interested parties please submit the completed registration form on or before 6:00 pm, 30 June 2015 via email ([email protected]) or fax (3994 8899). Places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.
