Established in 2009, Hong Kong Green Building Council (“the Council”) is the leading body, co-founded by four major construction industry and environmental organisations, driving the market transformation towards green and sustainable buildings in Hong Kong through engagement with the industry, the government and broader community.
HKGBC is expanding its secretariat team in line with its positioning as Hong Kong's leading member-based body dedicated to green building development, with opening for the post of Senior Project Executive – Industry Standards and Practices.
Duties:
- To provide technical support for various research studies and initiatives toward advancing a low carbon built environment including but not limited to Advancing Net Zero Carbon, smart green building, health and well-being, retrofitting of existing buildings etc.;
- To conduct desktop studies/literature research and assist in the development of research/project proposals;
- To liaise and coordinate consultants, contractors and various industry stakeholders in project delivery;
- To assist in tendering, compilation of papers, reports and presentations;
- To provide technical support to Committees and Task Forces;
- To perform other secretariat and technical duties as required.
Requirements:
- Degree holder in Architecture, Engineering, Sustainability or other Built Environment disciplines;
- Post graduate qualifications/additional credentials in green building would be an advantage;
- Minimum 5 years of research and/or working experience in the built environment and/or related to sustainability;
- Independent, well-organised, self-motivated team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills;
- Good project management skills, ability to multi-task, careful attention to detail and work to deadlines;
- Strong work ethic and sense of responsibility;
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese;
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
