Established in 2009, Hong Kong Green Building Council (“the Council”) is the leading body, co-founded by four major construction industry and environmental organisations, driving the market transformation towards green and sustainable buildings in Hong Kong through engagement with the industry, the government and broader community.

HKGBC is expanding its secretariat team in line with its positioning as Hong Kong's leading member-based body dedicated to green building development, with opening for the post of Senior Project Executive/ Project Executive  – Industry Standards and Practices.

Duties:

Assist HKGBC to provide consultancy services to its clients on the transformation of existing buildings, and to assist in other technical duties such as implementing retro-commissioning initiatives for the industry.  The Senior Project Executive / Project Executive will perform the followings:

  • Analyse the E&M systems of the existing buildings owned by clients and assist to propose short-term and long-term energy management / retro-commissioning / retrofit measures;
  • Liaise with potential suppliers of energy-efficient / smart green equipment and obtain technical and fee proposals;
  • Assist to compile technical reports on the replacement / improvement / fine-tuning of E&M installations including the calculation of capital costs, energy savings and payback periods;
  • Assist to provide retro-commissioning advice, technical assistance, site investigations and training;
  • Perform other secretariat and technical duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Building Services, Mechanical, Energy Engineering or equivalent;
  • At least 1 year of working experience in the building services industry and building-related projects, candidate with more experience will be considered as Senior Project Executive;
  • Additional qualifications or credentials in building energy-related aspects would be an advantage;
  • Good command of spoken and written Chinese and English;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Proficient in PC applications including but not limited to MS Office applications;
  • Meticulous, self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility and able to work under pressure.
