Supported by the Hong Kong Green Building Council, the AVPN Sustainable Built Environment Roundtable: Identifying Opportunities for Greener, Smarter, Happier Cities would be held in Hong Kong on 31 May 2019 (Friday).
In the World Green Building Trends 2018 Smart Market Report, 47% of respondents believe that they will build the majority of their projects (more than 60%) green by 2022. Not only is the positive social and environmental impact from sustainable buildings becoming clear, but the business benefits are also becoming more evident: decreasing operating costs, increasing asset value, increasing productivity, alternative funding resources (i.e. green bond) and more. Sustainable buildings are also an important element of Smart Cities, driving innovation and technology breakthroughs to address urban issues across the supply chain.
To people who are interested in learning more about the sustainable build environment sector, AVPN has invited 6 diverse industry experts in the sector to lead the roundtable discussion. This convening will aim to explore:
- Key factors pushing real estate sector players to focus on sustainability
- Achievements on environmental impact and the frontier technologies behind
- Ideas on monitoring social impact from sustainable building
- Gaps and opportunities in Hong Kong’s sustainable built environment development space
Highlights:
The Executive Director of HKGBC, Ir Cary CHAN, JP will be the guest speaker of the Roundtable.
