c. Solutions
• Schools are encouraged to monitor the water consumption behaviour by
noting and recording the reading of the water meters on regular basis;
• If schools want to install additional water meter to monitor individual usage
(e.g. floor by floor), please consult Licensed Plumber about the practicality
and option;
• Water meter must be installed by Licensed Plumber; and
• Registered Professional Engineer (RPE) in Building Services Discipline shall
be consulted if water piping is being re-designed.

Cost Information
The costs for installation and maintenance vary and depend on:
• Complexity of current piping system; and
• Maintenance/installation access.

options.
