• Energy meter (except socket type meter) must be installed by Registered
Electrical Contractor or Registered Electrical Worker; and
• Registered Professional Engineer (RPE) for Building Services Discipline or
Electrical Discipline shall be consulted if electrical circuit is being re-designed.

Cost Information
The costs for installation and maintenance vary and depend on:
• Current electrical wiring;
• Number of meters (generally the more meters installed, the cheaper per
unit); and
• Maintenance/installation access.
Schools can contact electrical contractors provided in Appendix B (4) for cost
and options. Indicative cost is provided in Appendix F for general reference.
