• The structural loading capacity of roof in normal schools shall be able to
withstand the weight of wind turbine. However, Authorised Person (AP) and
Registered Structural Engineer (RSE) shall be consulted;
• Additional concrete footing for wind turbine installation can help prevent
vibration issue and avoid invasive bolting on roof surface which might lead to
water seepage issue at a later stage;
• Wind turbine installation shall be carried out by renewable energy system
suppliers; and
• Electrical components installation (e.g. DC AC converter, transformer,
controls) shall be carried out by Registered Electrical Contractor & Registered
Electrical Worker.
