the installation and the means of escape in roof area;
• Additional concrete footing for solar hot water mounting can help avoid the
need for invasive bolting on roof surface which might damage the existing
waterproofing leading to water seepage issue at a later stage;
• Structural mounting, solar collector and water tank (if applicable) installation
shall be carried out by renewable energy system suppliers;
• Electrical components installation (e.g. heating elements, controls) shall
be carried out by Registered Electrical Contractor & Registered Electrical
Worker;
• Plumbing components installation (e.g. pump, piping), water pressure and
applications to Water Supplies Department (WSD) for proposed system shall
be carried out by Licensed Plumber; and
• System shall be designed to and certified by relevant national / international
