It is with great pleasure that I extend my congratulations to the
success of the Green Building Award 2012. I am extremely proud
of the awardees for their efforts and outstanding performance in
the competition.
Green is the theme these days and the Construction Industry
Council is a long-time advocate of low-carbon construction
projects. Our emphasis is on developing a sustainable living
environment to serve future generations. I am pleased to see this
annual event expand in scale and even more delighted about the
candidates’ commitment to this wonderful cause.
Once again, I wish the Green Building Award every success in
the years to come and I hope it will continue to draw in talents to
foster a sustainable built environment.
本人衷心祝賀「2012環保建築大獎」的成功，並對得獎者為
比賽所付出的努力和展現的卓越表現感到驕傲。
「環保」時現今社會的主要課題，而建造業議會一直是奉行
低碳建築倡導者。我們主張發展可持續的生活環境，以惠澤
我們的下一代。欣悉這項一年一度的盛事，規模日增、成效
顯著，更感到鼓舞的是看到參加者對這課題的熱忱及付出。
本人藉此機會祝願「環保建築大獎」續創佳績，並繼續為發
展可持建築環境培養專才。
Message from Chairman of Business Environment Council (BEC) – Prof. John CHAI
商界環保協會主席賀辭 –查逸超教授
Congratulations to the Green Building Award for another
successful year! It is BEC’s pleasure to participate in this
meaningful award scheme to recognise efforts and outstanding
performances of both private and public sectors in the pursuit of
higher environmental standards in buildings. It is also our joy in
announcing our plan to transform our own headquarters into a
more environmental friendly building with BEAM Plus Platinum
rating. Though in its planning stage, this transformation project will
help exemplify BEC’s determination in promoting environmental
excellence and green built environment.
環保建築大獎自2006年舉辦至今，廣受各界接納，謹此致
賀！商界環保協會能夠參與其中，合力推動和提升建築物的
環保水平，深表恩惠。這獎項計劃能夠對公共和私人機構在
綠色建築的努力予以肯定，形成積極的推動作用。商界環保
協會作為計劃的支持機構亦決心投入其中，現正積極籌備將
本身總部大樓更新成為達到BEAM Plus白金級別標準的建築
物，將我們致力推廣環保和綠色建築的理念付諸實行，貫徹
倡導環境保護的使命。

建築環保評估協會主席 –吳家賢女士
Congratulations to all the recipients of the Green Building Awards.
Their efforts and dedication to providing quality and sustainable
buildings are very much appreciated by the community as a
whole.
BEAM Society has been promoting green building since 1996.
Initially there was not much support and little awareness of the
issue in the community. After more than 15 years, we can see
increasing recognition of the efforts to promote Green Buildings,
and most importantly the generous support from the Government
and HKGBC for making all this happen.
Let us all join together to build a sustainable and quality
environment for Hong Kong.
藉此，恭喜所有環保建築大獎的得獎者，為他們致力提供優
質及持續建築所付出的貢獻及毅力得到社會各界的讚賞。
自1996年以來，建築環保評估協會一直致力推動綠色建築。
最初，社會各界對綠色建築的支持及意識薄弱。但經過15年
時間後，我們可以看到各界對綠色建築的認受性不繼提升。
此外，更重要是得到政府及香港綠色建築議會的全力支持令
綠色建築得而持續發展。
讓我們一起為香港建立一個可持續發展和優質的生活環境。
