Chairman of
Professional Green
Building Council
(PGBC)
作為環保建築專業議會主席，我非常驕傲看到兩年度的環保建築
大獎獲得廣泛的認同，而且發展成一項對香港及亞太地區的綠色
建築的嘉獎。在2006年的，獎項分類有新建建築、既有建築、
翻新修復、研究調查及計劃發展等香港項目。在2008年的環保
建築大獎，環保建築專業議會把參選範圍伸展至所有香港項目，
和有香港專業人員參予的項目。到2010年的環保建築大獎，獎
項伸展至香港及亞太地區，包括新建建築、既有建築(設備管理)
、研究調查、計劃發展、室內工程和更新活化，結果除本地外，
共有18個城市的項目提名參選。除了頒獎禮之外，更和每年一度
的香港綠色建築研討會合作，讓12個2010年環保建築大獎的入
圍單位受邀出席研討會，分享六項提名範圍的有關經驗，以擴闊
認受程度。透過評選過程和相關的討論，我們亦從八個地區的綠
色建築評議會- 澳洲、加拿大 、中國 、中國香港、日本 、新加
坡 、中國台灣和英國，學習及得到他們的專業意見。
在2012年環保建築大獎，我們加入了綠色建築產品的獎項，並
邀請澳州、新西蘭、加拿大和韓國評議會的代表作為評審員。為
增進我們的認知，亦邀請了在2011年世界綠色建築研討會(World
GBC)以及聯合國氣候會議研討會2011中，獲得卓越綠色建築城
市政策的政府領導獎冠軍與我們分享他們的成功故事。通過他們
的經驗，有機會激勵香港政府和參與者確定和採用成功的政策，
建設香港成為一個具高質素及可持續發展的世界級城市。
正如剛卸任主席黃錦星先生所承諾，我會繼續支持推動香港綠色
建築議會的發展，以成立一個協同平台及策略，加快市場往高質
素及可持續發展建築環境轉型，達至更好的共同未來。
As the Chairman of the Professional Green Building Council, I am
proud to see the biennale Green Building Award has gained wide
recognition and developed into a leading Award for Green Buildings
at home and in the Asia Pacific Region.
In GBA 2006, we awarded outstanding green projects in the
category of new buildings, existing buildings, renovation, research,
and planning in Hong Kong.
In the GBA 2008, PGBC extended the recognition to all projects
in Hong Kong and beyond provided that Hong Kong professionals
were involved.
In the GBA 2010, the awards were expanded to embrace new
buildings, existing buildings (facility management), research,
planning, interiors, and adaptive reuse/revitalization, to nominations
from Hong Kong and Asia Pacific, resulting in having entries from a
total of 18 “Cities” on top of the local submissions. In addition to the
award presentation ceremony, the event dovetails with the annual
“Conference” of HKGBC in which 12 Finalists of the GBA 2010
were invited to share the best practice across the six categories of
nomination for wider appreciation. Through the Jury process and
the associated conference, we learnt and gained the expertise of 8
“Councils” of green building – from Australia, Canada, China, Hong
Kong, Japan, Singapore, Taiwan, and UK.
In GBA2012, we introduced Awards for Green Building Products
and invited prominent jurors presenting Councils of Green Buildings
from overseas – from Australia, New Zealand, Canada and Korea.
To advance our knowledge, Winners of the 2011 World GBC
Government Leadership Awards for Excellence in City Policy for
Green Buildings at the United Nations Climate Change Conference
2011 are invited to share with us their success stories. With their
experience, it may inspire our government and stakeholders to
recognize and adopt the successful policies to build Hong Kong a
quality and sustainable world city.
I would continue support themovement of HongKongGreenBuilding
Council which aspires to create a common platform of synergy and
strategies for accelerating the market transformation towards quality
and sustainable built environment – for a better common future as
promised by our Immediate Past Chairman, Mr. K. S.WONG.
