HKGBW 2014 - Photo & Microfilm Contest Award Ceremony (20 Sep)
Green Building Photo and Microfilm Contest drew to a close on 20 September 2014 with a grand award ceremony at Times Square, Causeway Bay, which also marked the finale of the Hong Kong Green Building Week 2014. Themed “Integrating green buildings with our living environment”, the contest invited the general public and secondary school students to capture still images and microfilm stories. The contest was well-received, with over 500 submissions collected over the two-month submission period. The judging panel comprising representatives from the CIC and HKGBC, along with members of The Photographic Society of Hong Kong, The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups, and Junior Achievement Hong Kong selected the champion and runners-up of the contest, while the microfilm contest introduced an online voting system for netizens to choose their favourite entry.
Mr Leung Koon-kee, Director of Architectural Services was invited as the Guest-of honour. The winning entries were also featured in the public exhibition during 15-21 September so that the participants and the public can both know more about the local green building projects.
