The Complex has achieved the highest rating
of Platinum in HK-BEAM New Building
Version 4/04. This rating demonstrates the
commitment of the client and the designer
towards excellence in environmental
protection and building performance. It also
sets a high standard for building management
and maintenance.
In the past, there was no government-run
community centre or community hall in
Kowloon City District. The Complex now
provides much-needed facilities and a
venue for organising various community
activities for a population of around 356,600.
The Complex provides a Gross Floor Area
of about 10,500 m2, allowing the merging
of the KCDO main office and its sub-offices
previously scattered in different locations.
This arrangement greatly enhances its
operational efficiency and helps save costs.
Most importantly, it facilitates the provision
of better services to the public in the
long-term.
