Sources of Funding
CLP Energy Innovation Fund
The fund was initiated in 2003 with an aim to promote awareness of and develop
support for the future applications of renewable energy and energy efficiency in
Hong Kong.
Environment and Conservation Fund (ECF)
The ECF is a statutory trust fund open to applications from local non-profit
making organisations, tertiary institutions and schools. The ECF has provided
funding to support over 2,000 educational, research, and other projects and
activities in relation to environmental and conservation matters.
The Hongkong Bank Foundation
Since its establishment, the Hongkong Bank Foundation has contributed more
than HK$1 billion to charitable causes. Based on its donation parameters,
the Foundation provides financial support to a wide but often related range of
initiatives. In addition to funding large projects, the Foundation also provides
financial assistance for small community projects in Hong Kong through a
District Community Programme.
The Hong Kong Jockey Club - The Charities Trust
The Charities Trust’s donations over the past decade have averaged well over
HK$1 billion a year. Partnerships with charity groups and non-governmental
organisations allow the Trust to reach further and wider into the community.
