Dr. Michael Voigt was appointed as head of the Bayer Eco Commercial Building Center of Excellence China and since January 2010 has been a member of the ECB Management team. Prior to this appointment, he was the Manager of Strategic Projects at Bayer MaterialScience Trading (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., and head of Asia-Pacific Business Consulting at Bayer (China) Ltd.

Dr. Michael Voigt started his career in Bayer in 1997 in the field of biodegradable plastics as Laboratory manager with a team of assistants, and extrusion and injection molding technicians. Additional assignments within the Bayer Company in plant management and as technology transfer manager led him to various locations in Germany, Japan, USA, and China.

Dr. Michael Voigt holds a diploma in Chemistry at the University of Hanover and got his Ph.D. in polymer chemistry. Furthermore, he is member of the Alexander-von-Humboldt Society.
