Event Time:
10:00 AM - 12:30 PM

Considering the overall sustainable development of the construction industry and Hong Kong, construction and demolition waste is one of the inevitable elements to tackle.

As an industry-based overarching body promoting green buildings in Hong Kong, HKGBC is keen to collaborate with key industry stakeholders and the Hong Kong SAR Government in putting forward strategies to accelerate the market transformation to a sustainable built environment. With the view of increasing environmental impact imposed by construction activities and the tremendous amount of construction and demolition waste in Hong Kong, Hong Kong Green Building Council (HKGBC) is cooperating with the Environment Bureau to organise the first Stakeholder Engagement Workshop on Construction and Demolition Waste.

The first Stakeholder Engagement Workshop was successfully held on the 26th February 2013 at Zero Carbon Building to map out the current situation on Construction and Demolition Waste in Hong Kong. Over 100 industry stakeholders participated in the workshop, including different Government bureaus and departments, developers, contractors, recyclers and industry professional associations.
