GREEN BUILDING AWARD SERIES

The successful promotion of green buildings
and sustainability involves much more than
education and advocacy. It also requires that
proper recognition be given to those who are
achieving positive results.

The Green Building Award is an anchor event
organised by the HKGBC in association with
the Professional Green Building Council
(PGBC) to provide high-profile recognition
of building-related projects that achieve
outstanding performance and make a
contribution to sustainability and the built
environment. By recognising and publicising
these projects, the Green Building Award
helps to raise awareness of sustainable
planning, design and construction, as well
as the management, operation, maintenance,
renovation and decommissioning of buildings.
This increased awareness plays an important
role in pushing the mainstream market
towards wider adoption of green building
practices.
