While striving to excel in energy conservation, Island East’s milestones include:
Swire Properties encourages stakeholders
to do the same. Swire Properties was the
first developer to offer free energy audits
to tenants to help them understand their
usage patterns and identify energy-saving
opportunities. As of 2013, free energy audits
had been provided to more than 232,000 m2 of
commercial office space in Island East. Other
support to tenants includes:
• Testing and commissioning services;
• LEED / BEAM Plus / Benchmarking &
Energy Saving Tool (BESTOO) certificate
application; and
• Preliminary energy checks on mechanical
and electrical designs when moving in.
