The project activity i.e. Mindspace Madhapur Office Building No. 6
is for commercial purpose. The project is located in Mindspace,
Madhapur, survey No. 64. & is well connected by rail, road &
0 0 airways.The project site falls between 17 20’N & 78 30’ E.The site
is located on a rocky terrain. The project activity has been
developed by K.Raheja Corp., - The leading real estate developers
in India having established in 1956.
Mindspace Building No. 06, at Madhapur received prestigious
TR LEED Platinum in NewConstruction category.
Key green measures undertaken for project activity are roof & wall
insulation, use of low ‘e’ double glazed glass to avoid heat ingress
into building. High Coefficient of performance Chillers, VFD's in
AHU, secondary Pumps & Cooling towers, Heat Recovery wheel,
Co2 Sensors in densely occupied areas, occupancy sensors in
common areas like lift lobby, AHU & toilet and day light sensors at
office areas, use of task lighting for each work station and Light
Pollution Reduction.
Proper storage, collection and segregation of Recyclables at the
Source Level. Integrated Solid waste management system under
implication thereby diverting maximum amount of waste generated
during construction from landfills, source and maximize the use of
locally manufactured and harvested materials. Use materials with
High recycle content thereby reducing the demand for Virgin
Materials. Wood based materials and products certified in
accordance with FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) principles and
criteria were used for the wood building components
Car parking area is accommodated in the basement, upper stilt,
lower stilt and ground floor thus minimizing Heat Island Effect non
Roof. The roof area is covered with Cement tiles and High Albedo
reflective paint to avoid heat ingress into building.
The project is fully compliant with ASHRAE 62.1-2004 for Fresh Air
requirements. The building is declared as a non-smoking zone. A
permanent CO2 monitoring system providing feedback on
ventilation system performance to ensure that ventilation systems
maintain design minimum ventilation requirements has been
installed. Increased Ventilation with 30 % more fresh air above
ASHRAE 62.1 requirements. Indoor Air Quality Management
during construction and before Occupancy. Use of low emitting
paints, carpets, adhesives and sealants. Use of Composite Wood
and Agrifiber products. Task lighting at individual work stations,
lighting controls with day light sensors. Cooling coils and sensors
were installed to achieve comfort conditions a constant supply air
temperature to the space. Architectural planning considering views
and visual comfort.
