Recycling and Reuse of Marine Mud for Building Materials
Instead of being dumped into overcrowded landfills, the
16,000m3 of Marine Mud Sediment excavated in the
construction site was converted to useful brick products, such as
Pavers, Planter Kerb, Roof Tiles and Protection Wall. The panel
was particularly impressed with this solution - marine mud made
materials – turning waste into useful building material. This not
only tackles an environmental problemcreated fromconstruction
but also achieve a few million dollars in cost savings.This on-site
solution is unique in Asia or in the world, resulting in reducing the
needs for importing building material and hence the reduction of
footprint from transportation and disposal.
此項目將把具有四十五年樓齡的托兒所宿舍改造成社區教
由地盤挖掘、體積達16,000立方米的海泥沈積物並非運
至不勝負荷的堆填區處理，而是變成有用的磚頭，例如鋪
路、花槽石壆、屋頂瓦片及保護牆，令評審團留下極深的
印象。此方案不但舒緩建造衍生的環境問題，亦節省了以
百萬計的成本。這個解決方案可能是亞洲，或至世界獨有
的，它能減少進口建築材料的需要，從而減低運輸及廢置
的碳足印。

AUGREEN Block Wall System 澳格林牆體系統
The new block wall compared to the traditional cement-based
material has minimized extra use of material and installation,
which resulted in energy and material saving. 50% of the block
wall system was made of the by-product of power plant. The
design of the solution also allows the reuse of existing material
and recycle of crushed material.
這個新的牆體系統比以往用傳統石屎為材的牆，減少額外
使用原材料及安裝工序，能減省能源及物料。而且五成是
由發電廠的副產品製成。設計上亦使現有材料可以再次使
用及已碾碎的材料循環再用。
GeN2® Lift System GeN2® 升降機系統
This new generation of Lift system has demonstrated the
advantages in energy saving and waste elimination. Apart from
many green features, such as recycling regenerative power, the
Lift System further differentiates itself with the unique design of
CoatedSteel Belts.The solution also incorporated green features
into the entire product life cycle, ranging from product design,
manufacturing, installation to maintenance. The reference case
in Hong Kong has achieved over half of the annual energy
consumption compared to the past.
新一代的電梯系統證明了其節能及減廢的好處。除本有多
項環保措施（例如循環可再生能源）外，電梯系統亦有
自己獨特設計的聚氨酯扁平複合鋼帶。此方案使產品由設
計、生產、安裝以至維修上，整個產品周期都能包含多項
環保特色。本港亦有個案能把年度能源消耗減少逾半。
