Acknowledgments
The preparation of the Hong Kong Green School Guide is HKGBC’s first
undertaking to provide guidance to the school community on the opportunities
and constraints in “greening” their school buildings, and the related procurement
procedures. HKGBC would like to extend its thanks and appreciation to the
members of the Project Steering Committee and advisors for committing
their time, energy and expertise to developing the Guide. Their unswerving
devotion and enthusiasm have enriched this Guide with useful information and
suggestions on leading a green lifestyle in the school community.
Our gratitude also goes to the following supporting organisations for their
professional advice, knowledge sharing and valuable assistance, without which
we would not have been able to complete this task.
Last but not least, we would like to thank the Construction Industry Council for its
generous contribution to the funding necessary for carrying out this meaningful
project, On Hing Paper Holding Limited and Mr. Martin Tam for the sponsorship
of free paper, and Wing King Tong Printing Limited for the sponsorship of free
printing services for this Guide.
We are committed to continuing to improve the Guide through experience and
application, and, therefore, we welcome any comments and suggestions to take
us forward in this regard.
