A prime development along the Marina Bay front of Singapore,
Ocean Financial Cen-tre serves to be the iconic landmark of
building sustainability and green innovations for com-mercial
high rise buildings in Singapore and the region. Having
been recognized for the high standards of environmental
commitment by Ocean Financial Centre, the centre was the
first commercial building to be awarded high-est Platinum
accolade by Singapore Building Construction Authority’s
GreenMark and the first in South East Asia to be conferred
the United States Green Building Council LEED pre-certified
platinum accolade.
Standing at 245 metres tall and 43 sto-rey high, Ocean
Financial Centre has a total floor area of over 1 million square
feet. In comparison to a typical office building in Sin-gapore,
the eco-saving features of the centre has achieved water
savings of up to 42,249 m3 per year, reduction of 4,542 tons
of CO2 emissions per year, and overall energy sav-ings of
35.1%.
Green innovations incorporated in Ocean Financial Centre
include use of a triple layer low emissivity glass façade, an
eco-switch system at every floor for individual floor space
control of lighting and HVAC, regenera-tive drive lifts, 400 m2
of PV cells at the crown roof, a hybrid chilled water system
utilizing both district cooling system and in house chill-ers for
optimized efficiency and a centralized paper recycling chute.
Coupled with an exten-sive construction and environmental
manage-ment systems, the development of Ocean Fi-nancial
Centre marks the distinction of build-ing sustainability that will
serve as the Green- High rise development icon for years to
come.
海洋金融中心坐落於新加坡的濱海灣，是目前新加坡與
東南亞區商業綠色科技建築物的先驅和楷模。它是首座
獲得新加坡建築管理局最高榮譽“綠標”的白金獎，以
及美國綠色建築協會頒發“LEED- precertified”最高榮
譽的白金獎。面積佔有超過十萬平方公尺、高度245公
尺、樓層43的海洋金融中心是新加坡商業區首屈一指的
節能建築典範。中心裡安裝的綠色科技預計每年能助於
