Set in the sub-urban area of Lok Wo Sha with double cove at
both sides and preserved woodland, the natural environment
reinforces the Master Planning Concept of “Living in a Park”
and “Creating a Walkable Community” as conceived by Lord
Richard Rogers. The development aims to promote
sustainable living and establish a new paradigm for
large-scale residential development in Hong Kong.
The development adopted integrated passive environmental
design approach with all-embracing consideration from
neighbourhood to building interior. Various Computational
Fluid Dynamic (CFD) modeling have been conducted:
District-wide Air Ventilation Assessment, Microclimate
Analysis, Urban Heat Island Analysis, Ventilation
Effectiveness inside residential flats and Hybrid Ventilation
analysis inside shopping arcade, with a view to optimize
massing disposition and create a pleasant outdoor wind
environment.
Ample greenery and soft landscape features with sensible
soundscape design are provided to mitigate heat island
effect and enhance Outdoor Environmental Qualities. Indoor
Environmental Qualities are well-considered to create a
healthy and comfort environment. The use of Building
Information Modeling facilitates design visualization and
construction, and the adoption of Integrated Home
Automation System enables intelligence control and
promotes building serviceability during operation.
