CPD Event - Technical Talk on Building Energy Codes 2018 Edition (只供英文版)

The event is full house now. Thank you for your support.

This event is organised by the Hong Kong Green Building Council (HKGBC).

Following the enactment of the Buildings Energy Efficiency Ordinance (BEEO) in 2012, EMSD promulgated their first BEC and EAC in the same year. These two Codes of Practice are reviewed once every three years to ensure that they can keep pace with technological advancement. Similar to the last update, EMSD consulted major stakeholders and professional institutions and took into account the development of relevant international standards on energy efficiency with ARUP being engaged as the consultant for this second review.

This seminar will introduce the two new codes by comparing the uplifted energy efficiency standards and requirements of air-conditioning, lighting, electrical, and lift and escalator installations between BEC 2018 with the previous edition and the enriched content on technical aspects and details on carrying out energy audits under the EAC 2018.

Speakers

(1) Ir Lawrence LOH - Senior Engineer / Energy Efficiency B7, Electrical and Mechanical Services Department

(2) Ir Alvin LO - Associate Director / Building Sustainability, Ove Arup and Partners HK Ltd
