1. Who are required to submit 2017 CPD records?
A: BEAM Pro and BEAM Affiliate accredited from 2010 to 2016 (BEAM Pro and BEAM Affiliate number starting with "BP2010-", "BP2011-", "BP2012-", "BP2013-", "BP/BA2014-", "BP/BA2015-" and "BP/BA2016-") are required to submit CPD records this year.
BEAM Pro and BEAM Affiliate accredited in 2017 (BEAM Pro and BEAM Affiliate number starting with “BP/BA2017-“) are exempted from submission this year. They only need to earn CPD hours starting from 1 Jan to 31 Dec 2018 and submit those hours by End 2018.

2. What period of CPD activities do I have to submit?
A: Activities that you have participated in 1 January – 31 December 2017 can be counted towards 2017 CPD Record Submission.

3. When will be the 2017 CPD Record Submission end?
A: The 2017 CPD Record Submission will end on 31 December 2017 (Sun). Late submission will NOT be entertained.

4. What are the annual CPD requirements?
A: The annual CPD requirements of BEAM Pro are 15 hours, of which 6 are Mandatory CPD hours (i.e. 9 are General CPD hours); and while BEAM Affiliate are 6 hours of which 3 are Mandatory CPD hours (i.e. 3 are General CPD hours) . 5. How can I submit CPD records?
A: You are ONLY required to check the Mandatory CPD hours records which are regularly uploaded by HKGBC (With and submit General CPD hours to the HKGBC website (https://practitioner.hkgbc.org.hk/). NO paper form submission is accepted.

6. Do I need to submit carry-over CPD hours from last years?
A: NO. The carry-over will be processed by the Secretariat. You just need to submit ALL activities that you participated in 2017.
Please be reminded to sumbit ALL CPD activities in 2017 as in the following year of CPD Record Submission, you will no longer be allowed to submit CPD activities in the past years. The excess CPD hours in 2017 will be saved up for carrying over to next years.

7. Do I need to submit the covering of General CPD hours by Mandatory CPD hours?
A: NO. You just need to submit General CPD activities in the “CPD Record" tab. The covering will be processed by the Secretariat.

8. What happen if I cannot submit CPD records that fulfil the annual requirement?
A: You can make up your outstanding CPD hours in the following year if insufficient CPD hours are submitted this year. Please note that according to CPD policy, if, by the 3rd year total number of attained CPD hours is still less than 30 (with at least 12 Mandatory CPD hours) for BEAM Pro and less than 12 (with at least 6 Mandatory CPD hours) for BEAM Affiliate, your qualification will be suspended. 9. How will the HKGBC check my CPD record submission?
A: After the CPD Record Submission period, the HKGBC will perform the random submission check. In case you are selected, you may be required to present the certificates or related proof.
The HKGBC will also perform suspension check with all BEAM Pro. According to CPD policy, if, by the 3rd year total number of attained CPD hours is still less than 30 (with at least 12 Mandatory CPD hours) for BEAM Pro and less than 12 (with at least 6 Mandatory CPD hours) for BEAM Affiliate, your qualification will be suspended. 10. What can I do if I have difficulties in submitting the CPD records?
A: In case you encounter any difficulties in the CPD record submission, please write an email to us at [email protected]. Each individual case will be reviewed by the Committee members.

11. Due to busy work, I cannot fulfill the CPD requirement this year, should I still submit the CPD record?
A: Yes, please submit the records to us as it can help provide you with suggestions about how to make up outstanding hours .

12. Where can I check my CPD records of all past years?
A: You can check all your CPD records at “CPD record” tab. Only numerical figures are provided for records at Year 2014 or before.

13. Who should I contact if I encounter technical difficulties?

14. Through what channels can I obtain Mandatory CPD hours?
A: Generally, you can obtain Mandatory CPD hours by attending live events held by the HKGBC and BEAM Society Limited (BSL). Besides, you can enroll in the videos on the online training portals managed by the HKGBC and BSL. The following are the links to the portals:

15. How to provide supporting document related to some General CPD events I participated?
A: For attending seminars, visit exhibition, self studies, carry out researches without supporting documents as a proof, please use a log book to mark down adequate information such as Date and name of events, duration and time you spent. In case you are selected randomly to provide any supporting documents, please show your log book to HKGBC Secretariat.
